Modern presidential campaigns

- The campaign layer includes candidates in the FEC export, which requires at
  least $100,000 in reported contributions from people other than the candidate.
- scripts/build-presidential-campaigns.py refreshes the committed 2008-present
  index. The live site also checks the next presidential-election export when
  the FEC makes it available.
- Earlier major campaigns are curated from FEC candidate pages and matching-fund
  records when no presidential-map export exists for that cycle.

Global leaders
- The playable Global roster is a manually normalized historical index of
  heads of state and heads of government from the major-country pool shown in
  the region selector.
- Current-office labels are cross-checked against official government pages,
  including GOV.UK, the White House, Canada.ca, the Élysée, the German Federal
  Government, and national presidency sites for Brazil, Colombia, Chile,
  Egypt, Nigeria, and South Korea.

years for game matching. Corrections should be checked against the linked
primary source before the generated index is rebuilt.
